Why online school is better for some kids?

I noticed a lot of parents allowing their children to decide on being home schooled or going in to a physical school these days. Since we have virtual classes and more students have been exposed to them thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak, I am now wondering why this option would be better for some kids and why some parents may start to consider it more

Online school is better for kids who are easily distracted by other students. It also allows the child to learn at their own pace which is great for kids who get bored learning things more slowly.

I hope to see an increase as I know some kids would rather stay home and learn. This tends to give them more time for creative purpose as well. Some children enjoy writing, drawing/painting, computer work, and other hobbies. The average day for home schooling tend to be around 4 or 5 hours compared to regular school that is 7+ hours.

Online school takes away the pressure of fitting in and allows children to just be themselves. Because socializing is a bit of an issue, many offer group trips where home school students get to meet up and go activities together.

We have a program in my area that is free. It is basically public school from home and it was one of the first ones in the US to start up. I think it is a great option for parents but is not considered enough today.

I would have loved to have this be an option for me growing up. I saw on the news that the schools in my area were going to offer homeschooling options for students over summer to catch up.
